All in a Day's Work

I woke up today in hopes that I would get a lot accomplished...I think I succeeded...I may have even went overboard!  The day started with a phone call with the MOB for the September wedding, with only 65 days to go, we may need to start weekly morning phone calls. We spoke for an hour, went over the timeline, constructed two emails to others involved in the wedding, (including the bride!) and made the MOB a to-do list.

Within several hours, I had received feedback from one of those morning emails and was ready to proceed with some of my to-do list: bridal luncheon options, bridesmaids gifts, welcome baskets/bags, hotel rooms already booked, reminder to bridal party and family about booking their rooms, timeline for day of rehearsal.  There are more things I have done, I am sure, but for now they escape me!

I have lost count in how many emails I sent the bride today, but I do know that when she called me early this afternoon, my opening line was "Don't fire me!" She just laughed because she hadn't even opened her emails yet.  I did tell her to read and answer one at a time..maybe even one a day.  I also gave her a deadline...next Wednesday! When one plans to be out of contact for 12 days in a row, so close to a wedding, it gets nerve-wreaking to say the least.  If only I could be in two places at once...on different hemispheres at the same time!

I also worked on my website.  This is not my area of expertise, in fact advertising and marketing are definitely my weak spots! But I added some pages and some information.   The Affair to Remember

Today's motto would have to be:"Don't underestimate how much you can get accomplished in a day.  If you put your mind to it, it can and will get done"
